We are very proud and honoured to announce that this October, 2018, we will be collaborating with world-renowned Czech soprano Hana Blažíková! In participation with AMuz (Antwerp, Belgium), Amsterdam Corelli Collective and Hana Blažíková have put together a sumptuous program of vocal and orchestral Italian baroque music. This is will be our second appearance at AMuz and we are delighted to be back!
Born in Prague (Czech Republic), Hana Blažíková has made a name for herself with an incredible career. She has performed all over the world with renowned ensembles such as Collegium Vocale (Philippe Herreweghe), Bach Collegium Japan (Masaaki Suzuki), Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra (Ton Koopman) and l’Arpeggiata (Christina Pluhar). Her repertoire ranges from medieval music to leading roles in Mozart operas. Amsterdam Corelli Collective is very excited to perform with such a unique voice and talent.
The Italian Haven
This program is a cocktail of beloved Italian baroque music, but with a twist! Besides established Italian composers such as Vivaldi and Corelli, we will also play a concerto grosso by the lesser known Dutch composer Pieter Hellendaal who was clearly influenced by the Italian style. And of course, it is unavoidable to incorporate the German immigrant George Frideric Handel into the program, in which Hana Blažíková with her interpretation excels. Masterpieces such as ‘Salve Regina’ and the breathtaking cantata ‘Qual ti riveggio’ are not left out of this scrumptious program, put together for your delight!
We look forward to seeing you at our concert this October! Arrivederci!
